So... I'm not actually sure how many pirates appreciate Dragonball, as I know it's popularity has been pretty recent in the States. It's something I've enjoyed since about 7th or 8th grade, so this actually seems exciting. I loved the DBZ mod for Quake III, and this blows that away. Your characters even age =P

I expect many rainbows and butterflies in this Cartoony game, though! (Even though in the Japanese versions there's a lot of blood and swearing) /shrug

So looks like you and I are the only ones, Mourne =P Chances of me getting this game are 100% when it hits the states. I was way too into this stuff, and used to dream about an MMO. My girlfriend is also going to play because: A) I will convince her B) that will be a Joke because she loves everything that's cute i.e. marriage system, cute characters, characters that age.

I even read that the way to make yourself stronger is to create a lineage... that each generation gets stronger.

I mean... I still just have a very rough understanding, and I don't know how it's going to turn out; it's crazy that it's in Beta in Korea already.

I still say a pokemon mmo would own all.

Catch your own pokemon and customize its skill sets and stats with like 350+ of those damn things would make for a sick mmo.

Every character was male.
The only character customization was for chest hair and skipping ability.
Every character's name had a rolled r in it.

Old fogeys... For those of us who followed the cartoon growing up, and have seen the japanese versions it's far from gay. It has swearing, lots of blood, and even adult innuendoes that are really funny.

To each his own, but as a 13-14 year practitioner martial arts I loved this show. It seems like everything has been added that I wanted since I've played the Quake III mod, too; with the exception of transformations, which are badass.

Now I'm no anime kid or manga person... I know a shit ton about Dragonball stuff because it was my first and last, and while this def. looks kiddish, it also looks like it could be fun as hell.

PS They have Tenkaichi Budokai Tourney's in it, which is basically PvP team arenas =]

Dragonball Z have its moment when I was a kid, cannot say i did not enjoy it when it came out.

and here's your second. I didn't see one person supporting DBZ claim that they "know" manga/anime; just that it was one of their favorites. So your argument here is basically: "if your favorite food is sesame chicken, you obviously know nothing about chinese food;" a logical failure.
