Greetings, Cin A. Bar. How do ye fair this fine morn'?
Hey, buddy. I'm tired as heck. Got only a couple hours of sleep last night because it was hot in my room, and I couldn't fall asleep! I didn't even attempt it until 3:30. :( I'm dying. Please save me. Thank you.

Hail LORD ROXKOOL.
I'm tired also. :( I think I have a mild case of insomnia. Most sleep aides don't even work on me. My caffeine intake is really high but it's usually all before 2pm or so.
But hey work is lame...I can't wait to leave. I have a test on Wednesday in bio. :( I signed the lease for my new apt but don't move in until 3/10. It's nifty nawmean. What did you do all weekend?
Roxie
01-31-2005, 08:57 AM
Nothing. I went to the bookstore and got some books. Read some, and slept, and did a lot of work for Guild Wars. :( Interviewed people, etc. :(
God, I am reading some stupid message boards, and people are absolute freaks. They're not boards that would interest you but it is just so funny how people take some stuff seriously. This lady on this one board is talking about suing the board because the board is supposed to be "friendly" but she keeps getting flamed, LOL. Can you imagine someone trying to sue a message board? Rofllll...she's made like 15 posts about how everyone hates her and stuff- WOW, that helps to win friends!!!!~~~~
Hey, what did you do this weekend?
Why did you get a new apartment? I thought you and Ven were moving here!!! Gnioss isn't invited anymore.

lawl, give me a link...I want to make fun of her.
Well let's see. This weekend was pretty good. On Friday I went with a friend and finally saw Meet the Fockers. Great movie! Afterwards we went to IHOP and I had pancakes. Oh yeah, cheat meal! :smile_ok:
On Saturday I took my mom out to lunch and then we went to look at some furniture. Afterwards I went and worked out, cleaned up my place, and then a couple friends came over around 10:30. We took shots for an hour or so and then left to a club. It was pretty empty but I saw a couple friends that I hadn't seen in over a year so it was cool. We left around 2 and went home.
On Sunday I watched xmen2, spiderman2, cleaned out my closet(gonna try to sell a bunch of stuff I don't need), and did laundry while I read Speaker for the Dead(ender series). It's extremely good. I couldn't fall asleep so I laid on my couch and watched the History channel until about 1.
I got a new apt because my current lease is up next month and I wanted a bigger place. Right now I have a 1br/1br that's around 755sq ft and am moving into a 1/1/study that's around 960 sq ft. Also, I live in one of the nice parts of Houston now but I wanted to move to a more upscale area and it's a brand new luxury complex.
Ven and I decided that moving to GA would set back our plans to stay living in civilized parts of the country where food is bought from grocery stores and not from squirrels/rabbits killed with buckshot. lawl

Stfu, you're from Texas, don't act like you live in some place that is much different from JOEJA!
Anyway, well, the forums are at SoapCity.com, but you have to register and stuff, but it's the ATWT boards. Lawl, don't laugh, it is my soap opera board. :(
Cinnabar
01-31-2005, 09:35 AM
It is quite different here! It's so polluted that our animals are unfit for eating. They just mutate and attack humans on a regular basis.
lawl, soap boards? I will not be going.
Hey I hate credit card companies. I applied for a card to do some low APR balance transfers and was approved but the transfers didn't go through(error on their part) so I canceled the card a day later. Then they tried to shaft me with some cancellation fee and it collected interest for a couple months so they wanted me to pay $81. I just called them and was like hey F U i'm not payin that because I didn't even use the card nawmean? So after 20 mins of bitching they said they'd clear the balance. :smile_ok:

Hey, I don't have credit cards. TOO risky, and too much of a hassle. Don't want to be tempted.
LAWL, I told you you wouldn't go. I bet this lady is liek some 60 year old lady crying because whippersnappers on the interweb are insulting her.
HEY, do you believe in aliens? (Gnioss, pls shut up, k)

Hey, about your sleep problem, maybe you should look at this message board. I read it sometimes when I'm feeling depressed about my sleeping problems and I always leave feeling better, lawl.

They aren't risky if you are responsible and they're also very important. Having no credit makes it very hard to get a house, car, loan, or just about anything. I got a card on the day I hit 18 to get started on building it.
Of course I believe in alien life forms! I don't believe that any have ever encountered us, though.

There was a 60 Minutes or something a few months a go about credit card companies. Showed evidence of how they try and trick customers. Imagine all the people who wouldn't have called or who wouldn't have been able to talk their way out of that bogus $81 fee.
Anyway it's very important to stay on top of your credit cards. Not just over spending and being stupid, but making sure they aren't trying to rip you off. Because they will try.

No way, man, too scared. I'm not responsible! Not yet! Not for me! Dong should get one though. He's responsible. He's applied and been approved but he never bothered doing anything after that. What a nerd, huh. But, he actually had credit because of my engagement ring. Nawmean? So, I guess he's not totally creditless!
Hey, well, anyway, I read this alien message board and it is too funny. Some of these people see something on the internet and they automatically think it is real. I sorta like going there, because sometimes there are some good political debates (liek death penalty, women's rights, etc.), and sometimes some good spooky stories, but then I can't believe how some people can be so silly. ^_^

Yall should really start looking into getting a card or two and just carrying over a low balance(under 20% of your limit - anything more and it drops your credit rating) from month to month. It'll be really hard to get a good mortgage rate unless Dongster will be given corporate housing or something.
Roxie
01-31-2005, 10:03 AM
NO WAY. I AM SCARED OF CREDIT CARDS. Dong can have a dozen! I'll take zero! How about you just give me free money instead. Good deal. ^_^

No, that's not a good plan. I used to do it until I did some homework. Credit card companies want to make money. They make it on interest/penalty. It's a double-edged sword: debt is your enemy but also your friend. The ideal thing is to carry a small balance but keep actual money set aside for it in checkings in case you need to pay it off quickly. I read my quarterly reports from Equifax and it tells in detail as to what is raising/dropping the rating. You gain credit raiting by carrying a balance of less than 20% of your total credit. You lose credit for carrying one that is higher.

It's the truth! Not paying your balance in full is one of the most powerful credit-building tools one has. The problem is that most people never reap the benefits because they are irresponsible and fall into the love for the "free money."

Roxie
01-31-2005, 11:02 AM
Hey, will you warm my feet? Sometimes, I like to stick my feet on Dong because he's warm and my feet are cold but then he gripes about it and says to get my cold feet off him. That's mean, huh. He's supposed to care about my well-being and comfort, right?
Hey, I gotta start saving more money to get married before Dong changes his mind, nawmean? I'd hate to have to cut him.
Roxie
01-31-2005, 11:03 AM
So, Cinn, do you think Gnioss needs a haircut or not? I think he does. Maybe we can send him to that show Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. But do they accept homosexual borgs?
Cinnabar
01-31-2005, 11:04 AM
ew no way...I hate feet. I wear socks even around my own place. Don't touch me with them!
Hey start saving more money then! Hurry and have your wedding so we can go. Gnioss and I just plan to come in and knock random stuff over as we steal all the food and run. We will have to tell your grams and parents that we are your internet buddies first though.
Cinnabar
01-31-2005, 11:05 AM
Yeah seriously, he needs it cut but I think up on Montanya they need it like sheep need their winter coat. It's pretty cold up there you know. Maybe Gnioss is really half sheep...like on his dad's side.

Hey, he could be half sheep, half borg. How interesting.
Hey, yeah, I do need to have a wedding but I gotta save up some dollah bills, nawmean? I'm trying but it's tough! Gnioss won't come to my wedding, lawl, he just says that but you think when it really comes down to it, he'll come? No way, lawl! Gnioss barely posted his picture on the 'net. I bet he had anxiety attacks all day because of it.

LAWL. I will stick my feet on you at the wedding if you tell my grandmother you are an internet buddy.

Yes of course it does but it's all a point system. You get less points for paying back your card in full every month vs. carrying a manageable balance.

Cinn, you could buy a TV on layaway, pay it off on time, have a TV to show for it, and build your credit score. If your happy paying interest to aquire credit, that's fine, but some people don't want to spend the extra money and get nothing tangible.
ANd for me and my family, our balance is simply too big to not pay off. I aint' paying jacked up loan rates on thousands of dollars every month. Also, the credit card companies love us. THey always want us to open new accounts, and increase our lines of credit. You don't need to keep a balance to get the perks of being a good customer.
Have fun with Roxies feet.
Cinnabar
01-31-2005, 11:41 AM
It's a little different for you though Dir. You're a bit older and time itself is a major role. You have credit longetivity to show in addition to use and also have a spouse to add into the mix. Those of us youngins don't have the luxury of time yet so we have to look to other sources.
I make the majority of my purchases every month with my AMEX rewards card since I have no limit and pay it off in full. I use a Visa to maintain a negligible monthly balance. It costs me about $5 in interest per month which isn't much to put forth considering the rate of return for credit rating.
Roxie
01-31-2005, 11:47 AM
Hey, ya', have fun with my feet. Warm them up, pls.
I gotta ditch you. If I stuck around here until you got off work, I'd be here all day. Ain't happenin', Bub. Gonna go home, slip in my bed and roll over on my belly with my arm tucked under my pillow and my head facing left and fall fast asleep. It is going to be so nice to be so warm and asleep in my bed. I might read a bit before I fall asleep, that would be nice, too.
Hey, remember when we were last Samurais, and we went into battle, and we were on our horses fighting a battle we couldn't win because the opposing force had big cannon gun things and scopes and stuff, and we were charging and I saw you getting shot at liek 100 times, so I turned my horse around and ran off in the sunset, then made out with your sister? That was good times.
