Well, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Our replacements are here. The mighty 42nd Infantry Division, AKA "Rainbow Division" due to their shoulder patch (spare the rainbow/homosexual jokes, they've heard them all already from us, hehe), has arrived in force. These guys are a National Guard division from New York/New Jersey, so imagine an army division with 10,000 Armins and you got the picture.
Its interesting seeing all their wide eyes and nervousness and realizing that we're combat vets. All the stuff we've learned over here is now second nature to us and we laugh at the funny questions they ask and the funny things they do. But then we remember back to a year ago when we were asking the same stuff and doing the same things.
Anyway, I'm glad to get a chance to impart some of the things I've learned over here on the next crew of warfighters. More importantly (for me), its one of the last steps to take before I get the fuck outta here.
