Arr mateys.
Decided I'd give Darkfall a try, but wanted to know some things since I get only one character.
Is this the proper place to put questions or posts such as these?
What race should I be? Either let me know the guild req's or your own personal favorites and explanations for each.
What is needed? Crafters? Range fighters? Melee fighters? Ship builders? Gatherers? etc.
I'm considering an assassin type. Is the guild as a whole red or blue? If I do assassin, can I still kill folks we're at war with/races my character hates without any repercussion?
I've heard rumors that shipbuilding is getting an overhaul in the near future. What is the current status and what improvements are going to happen?
I have lots more, but feel free to answer those for now.
Thanks for your help!

No disagreement there, but the questions still stand. One of them is "What are you guys looking for?"

It ain't our job to answer yer questions fancy lad. P'raps tha scurvy is gettin to yer brain or ya been spendin too much time with tha wenches.
TSP doesn't typically "seek". Those interested typically seek us. You probably got off on a bad foot saying "planning on joining us", because you see for the longest time we didn't even recruit..for years. Now while that's changed some I think people are just curious if you were referred from someone, basically where you came from. Without knowing that we have no urge to really let into answering all those questions, because we don't know who you are.
A lot of those questions you're either asking for a book type response available on the discussion forums, or statements (but not really in this case), a guild doesn't toss about itself on public boards

Not a problem. Didn't even recruit eh? Not many guilds have that luxury; glad things are going that well. I can plan all I want, but whether or not you let me in is another story-doesn't bother me. I was just trying to up my chances if, by chance, you did want a certain race/build/etc.
Random people on the darkfall forums referred me to this guild so no one from your guild or anyone of consequence.
What I'll probably do from here since you guys seemed pretty tight nit is work on what I want to do, eventually get strong enough and try to fight along with some of your scully wags, and then hope/ask for a true referal from one of your ilk.
Personally my background is UO, DAOC, WAR, and sadly WoW (could perfectly happy erasing those memories from my brain). Favorite game of all time was the one I started out on, UO. Quite similar to this game. DAOC and WAR I played for the amazing PvP, but without the real threat of death, neither had the adrenaline rush that UO gave me.
I would say that's probably a good idea. Run into a few in the field, make a friend..etc
