It makes me re-think NOT having signed up for the H1N1 vaccine at work. I hadn't signed up because I am fairly healthy, but the danger is also in being a carrier and infecting others around me. Bill Maher showing us what NOT to do.

I really hate Bill Maher, but I can't stop watching his show lol.
I would pay money to see Dennis Miller and Bill Maher debate each other though.

Having watched his show for years I can say that is one of the few times he got owned.
The good thing is it will fire him up for the next guest / sacrificial lamb.

That's a pretty wide brush to be painting with. I lost a child because of an allergic reaction to a vaccine. Every batch that goes out has an "acceptable loss" associated with it.
I won't say all vaccines are bad or evil or should be eradicated. But blindly stepping up for the needle is ignorant and dangerous. There's a long list of vaccines that were pulled because they were released too early, were useless or deadly. Learn the facts and make up your own mind.

Ann Coulter and Bill Maher are friends and did a few debates. I'm sure there's stuff on youtube.
And Elora, I remember you telling us about that. I don't know what to say other than I am deeply sorry. And even to me, these words seem terrible inadequate.

Sorry for your loss. That said, vaccines are solid science, no more "blindly stepping up" then seat belts or water sanitation or any other modern convenience we enjoy. Millions of lives have been saved by vaccines, and millions more will continue to be saved. I learned the facts and made up my own mind.

I completely agree, Gnioss. The smallpox vaccine was wonderful and most of the ones we have now are highly effective. My concern is the lack of information given out and the sheep-like way everyone accepts any new vaccine tossed out. I am one of the least anti-gov'ment folks you'll ever meet, but "The FDA says ya gotta, so oooookay!" makes me insane. I just don't trust these people pushing vaccines through, especially when they cost so damned much. There are far too many cases of "oops" and people die. I don't want to hear about how many more people would have died without it. I want it done right the first time, before the masses line up.

I think one of the main reasons I hate the Bill Maher show is just the way it's done. He'll have 1 conservative voice, vs. him and 2 liberal voices (+ the audience...). I don't think I've seen a single one of his shows where he's had the conservatives in equal numbers or outnumbering the liberals there. Granted, I haven't seen THAT many of his shows.
Another thing that is just annoying is how his entire audience seem to be a bunch of sheep morons. They applaud nearly anything Maher says blindly. They need to take his balls out of their mouths. I mean, I know it's his show, so obviously the audience members are fans of his yada yada, but it's just annoying.
I think I'd like the show a lot more if it was not done in front of an audience.

Bill maher is just as much of a useless talking head as any of the useless talking heads on the right. He isnt clever, or funny really, he's just mean spirited and annoying. I like seeing him get owned.
