I need help from one of you tech gurus.

I just bought a new plasma t.v. for my office and I've heard from a few different people about how you can burn an image into a plasma. I remember reading something about that on our boards too. My questions is, how long do you need to keep a channel on before it has the chance to burn a logo into the screen? I like to watch CNN or Espn2, both of which carry logos in the corner all the time.

depends really on the quality of the plasma screen, but there should be something about it in your users manual (considering you did not buy this out of that back of a van)

If your set is new (less than about 150-200 hours of use) then try to rotate screens more frequently. Also try to keep the contrast under 50% for awhile.

It is possible to burn an image after only 20 minutes on some lower end sets.

Some of the brand name sets offer some features as set intervals where they will shift the image by a few pixels so that one phosphor isnt stuck on one setting for too long.

supposedly to fix that stuff all you have to do is put it on a chan of all 1 color (i think black or white) and it will burn that color back into the pixel...
