Interesting -- You were mentioned in an Ubi thread about trolling and politics recently Cinn (as were Armind and a few others). I don't believe Aga made the list. It was a pretty good history lesson on Mourning though.

One thread alone was dominated for like 4 pages by JUST AT and KoB. Back in the good ol' days, both these guilds pulled out of the server war when their sand castles got broke, and or got bribes by UDL.

That ladies and gents, is how trolls affect politics.

Actually, my orginal question was probably horribly sexist. I was noticing the married guys (age 30-50) we playing females regularly. I was wondering if they played females 'cause it was the one woman in their house that they could actually have some control over :rolleyes: Anyway they debunked that theory :D I thought it was funny that I didn't see the obvious.

Still trying to figure that all out myself acutally. After I left to go play in WoW a bit, the guild went ARAC with the claim that the realm system made it the only viable choice. Some of us took pride in being a lore guild. The rest seemed to think that as long as the nation guild was lore ("PSB proper"), all the subguilds didn't matter. As GL, I was always working on trying to have integrity as an rp-lore guild and it was an uphill battle.

Basically, trust was lost and philosophies about the game differed. When a couple of people gave up on WoW and went back, there was no room. For some, the walls of tolerance simply fell and this was as good an excuse as any to finally be in open conflict. The politics of Ice have changed and some historical claims are being cast. I suppose it was time for a change on Ice anyway.
