Darkfall Forums

Looks like the Darkfall forums are starting a guild registry. I know that the game looks a long way off, but it would probably be a good idea to get our names in their anyway. The reason being that they may wish to take the guilds registered on the forums as beta candidates. here's the link to the thread:

Basically, we'll need Arnie to PM the head moderator (Brannoc) and have at least 10 people registered with those forums. I know that we have at least 4 people registered already (Spawl, Maj, Aradorn Skyfyre, and myself), so we'll need at least 6 other people to register. Anyway, its just a thought, but it doesn't take a lot of effort, and the the worst case scenario is that a few people took a minute out of their life to register while the best case scenario is that we get a guild beta account.

PS: Looks like Anomaly, Music[TSP], and Muttman are already registered as well.

We used to play Bond (golden eye) on N64 or whatever system, and I always played as the old civilian that wore a sweater vest. He looked like Fred Rogers then over the years the nickname manifested into French Rogers.

Rilit on the other hand came from a table top rp game, MERP. In one of the adventure books some little npc thief was named Rilit the Squirrel. I've always had a thing for squirrels. In HS we got arrested while making a movie about catching a squirrel and dying its tail pink so other squirrels would think it was cool. The police took the movie to the station, watched it, thought it was funny and decided not to press any charges.

I know this has come up before....but in a game that allows us to sail pirate ships, are we still going to be called the Shipwrecked Pirates? I suppose we could still be looking for the Salty Maid and the ships we sail in game are just a means to an end. It just made me think since we're talking about making ourselves known in the DF community, if we're going to go by another name for DF we should get that name out.

i think we should keep the story of the lost salty maid, just so happens we can afford other "lower quality" ships =)

Aye, we can spin the salty maid as being the queen of the seas. A thing of myth and legend, perhaps never to be seen from again. In the mean time we shall use the lesser ships until we find dear old salty.

everyone has to goto tehir ControL panel on the forums and then goto user groups and ask to join the TSP group...

Yeah, there is an IRC channel. its #darkfall at irc.stratics.com port is 6667 if I remember corectly, but the stratics site has that info if you need it.

I have to ask, how many people have actually set up their group? If we don't have 10 people soon it will get deleted before it even started. So just say something if you actually got it set up.

No if you go back into your options after Arn toggles you there is now an option to make the guild name appear as your title.

Aye, and that's pretty much it for now. But I figured that since there are so few guilds that actually have signed up for this, they may look at those guilds as candidates for guild-beta accounts. Then again, maybe not, but the 2 min it takes to register is more than worth it.

Now once you have done this, all you have to do to get things finalized is to go bug Arnie about acception your petition... otherwise you will not join the group.

By the way, try dropping in and saying stuff every now and then. Getting known or our name out there as a heavily interested guild via their forums would be beneficial.

Can we just give Virtra and Slak our information and you guys can randomly post stuff under our names so it looks like we're all paying a lot of attention?
