Caen was THE map to play back when DoD first came out. I still hold very fond memories of that map. It's completely changed now, though. I started disliking it when they switched out Americans with the British.

Might actaully pull me away somewhat from WoW if its as good as the old version... which it is from what i hear... I am SO STOKED!!!

Never got into DoD, always been more of a CS fan myself, and have long since stopped playing FPS games since I started with MMO's :)

is it just me... or are the grenades at least the frag grenades a bit weak in CS? Seems like the only way to die from them with full health is to be standing right ontop of them.

I also was never a fan of DoD I Played it back when it was brand new and thought it sucked then played it later after it was more developed and still didnt find it very good. For me it fit into the game thats fun for an hour at a lan party but nothing past that catigory.

On the topic of realism. For the most part realism isnt fun. Games that strive for realism while they may appeal to a select few usually dont end up as being extremely popular.

Arcade style Realism however seems to be extremely popular.

DoD is atleast semi popular but I wouldnt consider it very realistic. Perhaps DOD:S will change my mind on that.. If I give it a try.

oh and as far as the genare that I think DoD would fit into.. Battlefield 1942/Viet/2 is far better if you ask me.

CoD2 should also be something to watch for but again I dont think it will live up to BF2. Time will tell.
