I had been watching the development of this game a bit but somehow I missed its release. Anyone try it? Thoughts?

The original was sorta fun but very bugged.

I think Populous was the best god game.

My brother just bought B&W2 off e-bay and says it's a little more focused on city building and creating armies rather than just having your pet eat people every once in a while. The first one got old fast but from what I've seen, the second one seems to be much improved.

I remember PVPing in the first one. My pet would pwn your pet.

I bet the PVP in the second is far better tho. Hopefully the RTS combat doesnt suck. The clips they released looked a bit lame.

Allow me to illuminate.

First of all, there is no multiplayer. At least for the time being, they may patch it in later.

Second, it's all about building your city now. You build an impressive city, other towns defect, you win.

The combat is there but it's nothing special. It's mostly fun to just let the waves of enemy troops try to fight your pet and watch it stomp them all to death. If for some reason your pet starts losing you can toss one fireball and wipe out an entire platoon.

Overall it looks really good and it's amusing for a while but other than that it's nothing special.

All i can say is save up all your godly money points (not official name) and buy skyscrapers. Just pile all your people into 1 40 story tall tower. Its uber ^_^

Over all i like the game a lot, its pretty fun to just goof around, and actually knowing what your creature is thinking is hot being that you no longer just beat him for stuff you think hes thinking...
