Quake 4 error

I've installed the game and all that, but when I go to ''single player'', and select a difficulty, it begins to load, then boots me to the main single player screen, every single time. Has anyone had this problem? What should I do? I installed my newest driver.

At the main menu screen hits ctrl+alt+tilde that will bring down the console. See if you can find any sort of error message in there. I assume your hardware is beefy enough to run the game correct?

Hey Maj, I have a 1.9 ghz processor and I had trouble installing my cd 2, and it gave me an error at the time and said continue anyways? I was having problems so I said yes. I took a print screen of what it said the error was after I got back to the screen, so hit me up on AIM real fast .. PBrooks284 and let me send you the jpg

I just need one file, pack003.pk4 . Someone else have the game? :( Lots of people are having this issue...I have a good connection and if you do it shouldn't take all day, lend a hand because you werent the one fucked over..

or if anyone even knows someone who plays the game. Give me your neighbor's AIM, I don't care.

My brother had the same problem when installing. He had to go exchange the CD before he could get it installed.

I didn't have to go that far, I was able to get the required file from maj.

Now, I have the latest version and I can't get any servers to show up for me. I should have fun figuring out this now, too
