Anyway, I followed the development of this game a year or so ago and it seemed like they were really doing well with it.

Has anyone played it? Pretty sure I'm going to go grab it off the shelf.

10 seconds later I went out and baught it Ill let you know how it is. Looks like a real decent RTS.

The single player story line (which was really what I bought it for) was a huge disappointment. On hard it wasn't really challenging at all. The story, which I had hoped was a dynamic drawn out sequence of events turned out to be typical RTS scenarios with a hint of the LOTR theme. At most there were 8 scenarios, I didn't count.. I probably beat it with a total of 5 hours played.

I played the good campaign and even tho humans are accessible in the multiplayer as a race apparently humans arnt on the good guy side because the good campaign only lets you play Elves and Dwarfs.

All and all after playing the singleplayer I'd say that the multiplayer is ok at best for an RTS and the singleplayer was less then par for the expectations and claims.
