With the 2.0 content patch finally going live TSP has pressed forward in its quest to regain its domination over the world of Azeroth.
The crew gathered early in anticipation for what seemed like patch delay after patch delay.
When the server finally came up roughly 23 Pirates quickly logged in to what seemed like a blast from the past. Mug'thol, taking a page from the book of Archimonde, lagged like the old days as hundreds of players flooded the server with dreams of PVP.
Once the lag cleared a 15 man AB team of doom was created. Our members represented TSP flawlessly as we quickly 5 capped opponent after opponent.
Like a plague to the horde we relentlessly slaughtered our way through inferior enemies seldomly clashing with a force that could hold a point on us.
One game however was different, loading into the battleground we instantly realized that this game would not be a walk on the plank. Finding ourselves up against another organized guild, Timestretch revealed a change in strategy. Instead of over-extending our forces and going for the 5 cap we decided to play conservatively and go for a hold 3 strat.
While being a solid plan we failed to pull off our initial push, going 1,3 smith against an enemy in greater gear and larger numbers, we caught our first loss of the game. With Smith lost and our mine ninja a failure we found ourselves in the undesired position of holding just Stables and Mill.
Time ticked away as we watched the horde pull away with the lead. Many failed attempts at taking Farm and Smith threatened to cost us the game.
Finally, with a brilliant attack, we split our forces. Half of us pushed our way into Smith while the other half quickly and strategically executed the mine defenses to claim the flag for the Alliance. Now closing the point gap we held off attack after attack, our calls and flag response was unmatched.
Holding Mine, Stable, and Mill we realized the situation was less then ideal. If the enemy was to attack Mine while we finished off a Mill defense we would be in very poor position to respond to it. When the points evened out horde seemed to realize this and did just that. While our mobile response teams were positioned at Mill we caught a glance at the Horde tails as they moved in mass to take Mine. Realizing we would never make it in time, and taking advantage of the hordes desperate zerg, we swiftly backdoored Smith and quickly claimed it.
Now holding Mill, Smith, Stables we had secured our victory. Holding all three until the very end we won roughly 1800-1500.
A well fought game against an organized opponent with greater gear.
Good Job guys.
As our numbers dwindled away at the end of the day we moved from AB to WSG and continued the success we had achieved throughout the day. 3-0 capping team after team we eventually decided to call it a night.
Tomorrow is another day, hope to see you there.
Good Games!
