I saw this on Engadget and thought of you:

The sisters thought something might be wrong. One of them realized she might be on camera in her own bathroom.

A civil lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday. All of this started when two sisters came to a Best Buy store in the City of Industry. They were looking to hire a computer specialist. Little did they know they were apparently also hiring a video specialist.

The two sisters and their mother appeared before reporters to tell how hiring a computer technician led them to retaining a high-powered lawyer. Back on March 2, they walked into the Best Buy store in the City of Industry and hired a technician from The Geek Squad to make a house call. The technician, a man by the name of Hao Kuo Chi, showed up two days later around 10 a.m.

According to the sisters, Hao Kuo Chi went upstairs to get to work, and asked to use their bathroom. Shortly after, Sarah took a shower. While drying off, she said she got a sinking feeling when she noticed a camera phone.

Sarah Vasquez, suing Best Buy: "When I came out, I noticed there was, like, behind the sink -- a phone. And then I looked at it, and it was& Like, the little red dot was recording."

Sarah said she was shocked, and she also admits she's not very technical savvy. But her little sister is -- and sure enough, little sis knew just what to do.

Kelly Rocha, sister: "I was thinking if I could take the memory out of the phone, then I wouldn't have to see my sister on the internet."

The sisters, with memory card in hand, bolted out of the house and headed to the nearest Verizon store to see for themselves what the camera phone recorded.

Sarah Vasquez: "I was embarrassed. I didn't even want to look at it."

Next, these quick-thinking girls phoned home. Their mom started stalling the technician, who had just finished the computer repairs and noticed the memory chip from his phone was missing.

Natalie Fornaciari, mother: "When he asked me for the chip, I said I don't know what the chip looks like. I tried to stall him as long as I could. He even asked, 'If you find the chip, I'll give you a discount.'"

Shortly after that, the Los Angeles Sheriff's Deputies arrived. They arrested Hao Kuo Chi. He's now facing serious charges, including two counts of invasion of privacy and one count of child molestation.

ABC7 contacted Best Buy for their response. In a statement, they said, "Best Buy was not informed of this action prior to being contacted by the media today. Obviously we intend to cooperate fully with any investigation into this matter."
