After getting kicked-off the server around noon EST...I've tried to log-in to various servers all afternoon. Typically I've been getting stuck waiting for the "Character List" to come up. Closest I've come is waiting 30 mins in queu for Archimonde, then getting kicked-off during my character loading.

Other servers, I've never gotten past the "loading characters" message. Seems to freeze on that message.

Yep, I just did...and for the first time this afternoon I got a "World server down message" off an Eastern PvP server that was surprisingly low pop.

Still confused why I was in Archimondes queu several times and got kicked out each time during character loading after waiting the queu. I wonder if many, or all, of the servers are down?

You are getting farther then I am. I dont even get to wait in a queu. I log in, it says I have connected, nothing happens for a min and then it says disconnected from server. Rinse, repeat ad nausium.

Not impressed. Not happy with Blizzard right now.

*heeds Jerrald's words, and lightly steps away, as Stonulf begins pawing his sword-handle*

1. Status Report on the Four Offline Realms | 11/25/2004 1:13:01 AM PST

We sincerely apologize to all players who have characters on the four servers that were taken offline yesterday for emergency maintenance. They are Archimonde, Dalaran, Khadgar, and Mal'Ganis. We understand that you are all very eager to return to your characters and we understand your frustration. We are doing everything we can to bring your servers back online. However, after careful analysis, we regret to inform our players that these four realms will need to remain offline for a period of days as we migrate them to a new database cluster. We currently estimate that the total downtime will last 1-2 days. We would prefer to take this more long-term approach rather than implement a short-term fix, as we do not want to see the problems appear again later on. We know that you were looking forward to playing World of Warcraft during the holidays and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for your patience during this downtime and we hope to get you back online soon.

There is a vote going on now to determine if we stick it out or move along to another server. Stay tuned Dobs.
