How can you lose to the flop?

How you can have 3 of a kind before a flop is beyond me... Don't you get dealt 2 cards? Oh-em-gee.

perhaps he meant the river. On an opposite note i won 300 dollars last night on a 40 dollar investment.

Ya sorry i meant the river card. The winner decided to show and i noticed that he had 1 club and the river card gave him a flush.

the other time the guy had nothing from the flop (i had 3 10's), he got a jack on fourth st and the river card. Got me for all my play money :banghead:.

I assume this was on one of the live poker sites. Or were you trying to play in one of the online casino poker games. Yep, you definitely had a bad run last night.

About the only site I trust is Planet Poker. Hope that wasn't the one you were in.

That's the problem when you play for free money. There's no incentive for people to fold when they're supposed to.

Some poker sites let you play nickel dime. It's cheap, but the idiots are weeded out.

Yes...when you're playing for real money, the strategy for play changes completely...it's a different game.

Ugh Dobry. I'm going to beat you with a bulava for mixing up your movies, one of which is my favorite. Val Kilmer played Doc Holiday in Tombstone, not Wyatt Earp. I'm not sure which movie that quote is from, I don't remember it from Tombstone but its not like I have the script memorized.

LOL!

I know. I have both movies on DVD, and I love them both.
Val Kilmer and Dennis Quaid both did exceptional performances...each showing Doc from a different angle.

Wyatt Earp was an epic, and very much of a character study.
Tombstone was an adventure, sharper...Russell's, and Kilmer's portrayals were two of the best acting performances I've ever seen in a Western.

Quaid's portrayal was in many ways much deeper, and closer I think to Doc's real life angst and personality, from everything I've read...a dark avenger of sorts. The initial meeting scene between him and Wyatt, in the bar/gambling tent, is one of the best scenes I've ever seen in cinema. And his quote to Wyatt (that is my signature) is, I think, the most focused and accurate representation of Doc's relationship and loyalty to Wyatt.

Kilmer's portrayal gave a richer, more dynamic Doc...and reflected the side of Doc that was most endearing to Wyatt...Doc's absolute loyalty, and coolness under pressure.

So, I think an accurate picture of Doc is much a combination of the two. Therefore my mixture of the two.

I'm a big Western fan. And Wyatt and Doc are both heroes of mine.
