Hey guys I've recently been involved in a new online publication that through several forms of media and content will attempt to start shifting a portion ( or all of it if we are lucky :)) toward games that people like us want to play.
The Pirates have traditionally been some of the most fluent communicators of the ideas of risk and reward in gaming and how to implement and discuss conceptual design aspects for games incorporating dynamic worlds and open PvP. If you guys would stop by and let me know what you think of the site and offer any suggestions to improve it Id appreciate it.
This stems from the simple fact that I as a gamer am tired of a few things.
Im tired of a general stigma created by "carebear" types that is labeling us and ostracizing us as PvPers and in my opinion "next gen" MMOers.
Im tired of no place existing where we can explore the intricies of concepts like "risk and reward", an FFA environment, and dynamic political and economic systems in gaming.
Most of all I'm tired of sites like MMORPG.com where publications are totally one sided toward the flower picking aspect of mainstream MMORPG's. There is too many of us out there to allow this to go on. I think there are so many more of us than we realize and I want to consolidate that community and kick developers in the ass to get a game made for US.
