How do they compare to traditional fat? What is the common fat in a deep fryer anyways? It used to be trans fat, but thats illegal now.

It actually USED to be shortening, hard shortening full saturated fat. Then people got all scared of that, so they went to "creamy" oil-blends that had lots of trans fatty acids (incomplete hydrogenation). Mostly it's done because hydrogenated shortenings hold up better and last longer (which means lower operating costs). Most places just switched to canola, or back to hard shortening lol.

There's no comparison to duck fat fries and regular oil. You dont fill a fryer with duck fat either lol, too expensive, and the fryers fry too hot.

But seriously, people need to stop thinking "no trans fat" means it's healthy. Low Fat just means shit tons of sugar and salt added to make up for the loss of fat.

Yea Ive noticed the high salt shit with most "heathy" foods. Personally that turns me off more than fats themselves. I mean if Im eating stuff thats not great for me at least make it taste awesome

peanut butter
jelly
2 slices of bread

Prepare the bread by toasting. This gives it some crunch so drinking milk isn't a requirement. (although still highly recommended) Spread peanut butter on toast and jelly on the other toast. Fit together so that they two sides match up. Becareful to use the correct amount of peanut butter and jelly or else you get dry mouth causing more milk consumption or its too fruity.

I feel that peanut butter and banana, although in the same spirit of the peanut butter and jelly sandwich, is a far superior choice

If you have an appetite, make as many as you like. Elvis at least 10 sandwiches at a time, sometimes 15, so have at it!

Donuts are awesome. Just because you get fat when you eat donuts doesn't mean everyone does ^_^

My Sous Chef's cookie recipe:

1/2 oz of decent quality weed
1lb of unsalted butter

Melt butter on low, process weed in a spice grinder until it's flour-ish in appearance, add to the melted butter and cook at low heat for 2-3 hrs. Strain through cheesecloth and refrigerate.

Use this special butter instead of regular butter in your favorite cookie recipe.

High sodium content can be found in pretty much anything. It's a preservative, which means you'll usually find a lot of it in canned/pre-packaged or frozen foods but it isn't really an issue for people that drink plenty of water and don't have or aren't predisposed to blood pressure problems.

Fat is not inherently unhealthy but trans-fats are directly associated with lowering HDL and raising LDL.

I give them out, and I do it professionally. I sincerely doubt some secret housewife recipe is: a) that good and/or b) worth keeping sooper-seekrit.
