First quest in AoC = rescuing a whore chained to a tree.

First quest in WoW = kill some doggies.

But if I remember first "quest" in UO was killing a sparrow that kept kicking MY ASS!

There's many videos of PvP and it looks good. There are insta pvp battles like in arenas?

The graphics and environment look amazing... I just don't see myself enjoying the controls/gameplay... at all.

Forecast the fact that its WASD movement makes it light years ahead of SB. It is going to take some getting used to as it is more... cludgey than intuitive but its one of those things that if you get past the initial little learning curve it will be no problem.

They have made some good changes to the interface in the last 2 months so hopefully they continue the improvements. Keep in mind alot of the nice features in WoW werent in at release either.

Seriously, though... I think I'm going to have to wait to see what everyone says.

I have a summer abroad traveling Europe and it's going to take all of the money I have saved as well as a good chunk of loans. As of now the game I plan on investing in WAR, and I figure as long as I can see the Black flag and anchor hung from a keep I will be a happy camper. If enough people decide to leave WAR for AOC, then I'll have made a mistake and will need to start considering that option. But, as of now I'm way too tight on cash and find myself looking forward to WAR, more.

On a side note, I've chosen my Destro class if we decide to take that route. :smile_ok:


Btw... I thought the controls (WASD keys) were used to swing your sword as well as move? :thumbdown
