..in hopes of it leading to more $. Still good though. He still couldn't land Bill Self though!

Wind power isnt a solution by itself but it helps take load off the grid. Problem is the grid cant be strictly beholden to wind power.

The key to all these green technologies is to get the grid all connected and working to support not just a region but the whole country or continent. To do this we need more money in transmission lines and the tech that comes with that.

That way the wind farm can be connected to the tidal generator can be connected to the solar farm and when one wanes the other picks up the slack.

All this will be pointless once Aradorn invents a perpetual energy source.

This isnt that easy though. Think about it, if 1 station goes down then the other stations etiher need to produce more power than they currently produce or always need to produce more power just in case. Otherwise you have rolling blackouts and brownouts.

What we need is ways to store power efficiently in large quantities (KWh) and when a power source goes off line, we start pumping power onto the grid using the storage array.

Connecting all the grids might not be the best idea.

Remember a few years ago when someone west of Pennsylvana drove into a substation and NYC lost power for 12 hours?

Considering we can't get the federal government to fix the roads or teach kids how to read...I don't envision them jumping through hoops to find a way to properly connect all the power grids in North America with proper safety backups.

Sounds great in theory though!

lower usage of oil over time = more long lasting business

this might be going somewhere now that there is a business value behind natural power!

it is all in the funding, as long as the project get constant funding, they can pull it off, nothing develops in parallel, only the area that gets fund develop.
