Sadly this does little other than to give right wingers / Bush supporters [insert whatever term you feel fits here] something to bloviate about. I mean it's not like the same bloviators weren't bloviating for the impeachment of President Clinton not so long ago... /eyeroll

IMO to not impeach Bush means that the articles of impeachment are impotent. Our inaction would set bad precedence.

Anyway I neither support or oppose this because I have very little confidence in the ability of congress to do much of anything until the Bush administration is gone. They are too afraid of how the media might paint them and they can't afford bad press so close to an election...there's ALWAYS the upcoming elections to worry about. At least once a democrat is in the White House congress can make moves...we'll see.

Bottom line for me, regarding the impeachment of President Bush, I am cynical. I am not usually cynical.

In my opinion it was congress's job to scrutinize bush's reasons for going to war with Iraq. Only they can declare war, only they should be held responsible for declaring war using reasons that were less than legitamite. Maybe if they spent some of the time they use to investigate steriods, bad mouth oil companies, or pretend to impeach people to actually investigate the facts their decisions are supposed to be baesd on, our country would be in better shape.
